v. 1 contains short biographies of the most important and influential Sliabh Luachra music teachers of the 20th century, namely, Padraigh O'Keefe, Tom Billy Murphy, and v. 2 contains short biographies of two other important music masters of the 19th century, Corney Drew, and John Linehan. Included in v. 2 are 21 compositions by Eamon Flynn, one of the most prolific composers of the modern era, plus a profile of 22 of the most prominent fiddle players whose musical contributions to the culture of Sliabh Luachra have been enormous.
