Whereas the Delaware and Shawanese tribes of Indians ... have, without the least provocation, and contrary to their late most solemn treaties, ungratefully renewed war upon this province ... Given under my hand, and the great seal of the said province, at Philadelphia, the seventh day of July ... one thousand seven hundred and sixty-four.
