Publisher's prefaces to the issues for 1739 and 1740 state that in 1738, in anticipation of his death, Leeds calculated almanacs "for seven years to come," i.e. 1739-1745.

At head of title: Leeds coat of arms with scroll reading: The genuine Leeds almanack.

Advertised in the American weekly Mercury, Philadelphia, Nov. 13/20, 1740.
