Burns Library copy 2: presentation inscription: "With the compliments of An Seabhac", dated from 1950 ; note tipped in: "Apples from the Branch (no date, 1900?). Significant as first printed collection of Hyde's poems. This copy signed by "An Seabhac" (The Hawk), pseudonym of Hyde's good friend, fellow folklorist, and Irish language enthusiast, Patrick Sugrue.Apparently presented to Helen Landreth in 1950, the year following Hyde's death (1949)."
