The comedy "Atis" is taken directly from a German "singsplot" intitled "Der hochmiithige, besturate und wieder-erhobene Croesus", the works of which were written by Lucas von Bestel, and which is a prose adaptation of an Italian opera, "Creso", with libetto by Count Niccolb Minato, and music by Antonio Draghi. The title of the comedy is given as "Der stumme prinz Atis", and "Der von Ciro gerfangene Crusus".of. p. 3-4, 43.
