Mohamed Adel is a marine ecologist and activist who has spearheaded MENA’s ocean decade movement. Over ten years ago decide to saving coral reefs and cleaning the Egyptian beaches. He began his career as a trainer for coral reef conservations and large marine ecosystems for the UN Environment, Project Aware, HEPCA and Port Said University. With the help of the UN Environment, Mohamed works to rescue and conserve the coral reefs and continues to speak out against plastic ocean.
Mohamed Adel quit his job as an Egyptian youngest successful hotel manager at the age of 26 to found Underwater Sciences and Techniques Academy, a nonprofit that raises awareness about the coral reefs, sharks and turtles, and works to stop ocean harmful practices like overfishing and marine plastic pollution in the Red Sea.
