A collection of books on Trials and crimes of the past. Many report on the same trials but often with a different perspective. This will include every known book on the subject in this library but only those that have an ebook here! New books added as they arrive.

In July 1889, two me went walking up the highest mountain on The Isle of Arran, Western Scotland. They were recently acquainted and both on a short holiday. That mountain was known as Goatfell. The men were known as Annandale and Edwin Rose.
Annandale was actually John Watson Laurie and Edwin Rose never left the island again.
Here are the books on the subject of this case. More will be addesd if it is discovered that they contain this sordid tale too.

The series, Notable British Trials, incomplete here on the open library, is one of my favourite series on trials and crimes. There are some very good tales from the Victorian era which grab you from the start.
I love William Roughead and so included a book or two of his also.
The Arran Murder is a particular favourite of mine, found in Twelve Scots Trials.
