Ed was born and raised in Pittsfield, Masachusetts. Immediately after graduating high school in 1942 he enlisted in the army and was assigned to the 3rd Armored Division. After basic training at Fort Knox, KY, Ed's Division was shipped to England for additional training in preparation for D-Day. Ed was wounded in Normandy and following surgery and rehab in an Army hospital, he was honorably discharged.
After discharge he began a career in the motion picture theatre business, but after about ten years, decided to change professions. He pursued night college and correspondence school courses in engineering and drafting. He was soon employed in this field. After a few years he was appointed Chief Engineer of a growing electronics support company. After holding the position of Chief Engineer for 12 years, Ed was re-assigned to the sales and marketing department. He was responsible for sales and production of a number of the company's products. He was also delegated the task of introducing the company's (military) products to Europe and Israel, to where he made many visits.
After retirng in 1989 Ed began to pursue his life long dream of becoming a published author.
Ed now lives in Orlando, Florida, where he continues to write novels and other books.
Ed is married and has four children and two grandchildren.
