LA2 is the Open Library user name for Lars Aronsson, Sweden. The same name is used on Wikipedia, MusicBrainz and several other projects. Lars is a self-employed server-side progammer in C/UNIX with SQL, Oracle, MySQL, Java, and Perl. He is the founder of Project Runeberg, a volunteer-based digital library of out-of-copyright Scandinavian literature.

Version 35 of this page contained links and a diary for 2007 and March 2009. But then in September 2009 any attempt to edit the page resulted in an internal server error. Apparently, adding accented chars breaks it. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/openlibrary/+bug/423121

September 3, 2009: I merge duplicate author records, starting with some top ranking Swedish writers. I start with Vilhelm Moberg, Astrid Lindgren, August Strindberg, Selma Lagerlof.
