Trilingual edition: English, French & German. The main theme of the congress was Impact on genealogy and heraldry of major events in a nation's history. The theme had its basis in that in 2014 was 200 years ago Norway got its constitution and it was 700 years since Oslo was Norway's official capital, two anniversaries that were highlighted during the year. Congress was organized jointly by the Norwegian Heraldry Society and Norwegian Family History Society .
Elin Galtung Lihaug was editor of congressional particular report and were joined in January Eide, Carsten Berg Høgenhoff, Terje Rye and Kaare Seeberg Sidselrud as editorial members. Eide (Chairman), Lihaug and Sidselrud were all members of the committee that had organizers in charge of Congress.
Speakers from a total of 19 different countries held a total of 51 lectures during the congress. Of those referred 20 genealogy, while 31 were about heraldry. In addition contributed 22 moderators to the speeches and questions and comments from the audience went all neat and separately. 40 of the speeches are made into articles and represented in Congress report, while remaining foredragsresymeer is taken from the program to Congress.
Congress had in all 111 participants from 26 countries. In addition attended 40 companions on excursions and banquet.
