A grammar of the language of the Papago (Tohono 'O'odham) developed through testing and refinement in actual classroom application. It contains a pronunciation guide, 20 grammatical lessons with exercises, five dialogs with exercises, and supplementary materials including Papago-English and English-Papago glossaries. Papago is, according to the introduction, close enough to the language of the Akimel 'O'odham (Pima Alta) that the materials in this book have also been used for teaching that language as well.
