fa-deara an suan síth-se ;

Ní thig liom musgladh go moch,
ar shuan ní fhaghaim árach,

codal uaire ní fhéadaim.
Ochán ! truagh nách tig mh’annsa
i dtaibhse ar cuairt chugamsa,
an ghnúis tsoidhealbhdha, an ghruadh ghlan,
gidh tuar doimheanmna a deallradh.
