The central aims of this research were to identify : (1) the attitudes of young unemployed people towards the Careers Service; the needs of young unemployed people in terms of employment, training or education; (3) the barriers that prevent these young people from achieving their career goals. The focus of the research was on young people who rarely or never visit the Careers Service.The report makes a number of suggestions for change.
