Edition Notes
Unofficial commentary by an anonymous canonist follows each rule of the sets associated with Innocentius VIII and (by misidentification?) Julius II; no commentary for the later rules.
The text captioned Regulae Cancellariae Iulii II (p. 257-327) is doubtful: the extremely extensive critical commentary accompanies a (proposed?) set of reformist rules possibly associated with the 5th Lateran Council (1512-1517); it was previously (and apparently first) printed/published in Ancona by H. Soncini in 1516 with title Regule expectatiuarum & prerogatiuarum tam familiarium quam aliorum nuper apposite.
Of the Regulae of Clement VII (1523-1534), the earliest set, dated Nov. 20, 1523, is given.
Colophon: Lugduni : Excudebant Ioannes et Franciscus Frellonii Fratres, 1545.
Baudrier (V, 127) lists another issue, with t.p. imprint: Lugduni : Sub scuto Coloniensi, 1545.
Page 364 wrongly numbered 394 (Baudrier l.c. does not correct).
Signatures: A-2E⁸.
Includes index to the commentary.
