The index is broken down into sections, beginning with Bread, Soup, Cream Sauce, Fish, Meat Vegetables, Salad Dessert, Meringues, Pie, Pudding and Sauces, Cake & Cookies, Cake Fillings & Frostings, etc. All recipes were written before refrigerators were invented.

The final entry on the last page of this book says: This book has been compiled and arranged for YOU from a personal collection covering several years. A number of the the recipes are from God Housekeeping and other equally popular sources. May they all "FIND FAVOR."

Edition Notes

I have a copy of this book. It was given to me in about 1960 by Ethel Bullimore Bigelow, a relative of the author, Mary Stevens. In about 1964 the actor Vincent Price visited me in Merced, California, and wanted to buy this cookbook from me. I knew he collected cookbooks but my grandmother, Ethel Bigelow, had entrusted this only known remaining copy with me. She wanted me to renew the Copyright, which I am sorry to say I never got around to doing.
