The descendants of William Armiger Scripps, 1798-1927.

Foreword

Realizing the difficulty of keeping one's family records up to date, I have been interested in adding these few pages to the
already existing memorials of the Scripps family, compile by Mr. James E. Scripps of Detroit, Mich., in 1891 and 1903.
Though I have limited my work to one branch of the family - that of William Armiger, eldest son of William Scripps,
(1749-1823) - I trust that some of the descendants of the two younger sons, John and George Henry, may in the near future,
interest themselves in completing the family genealogical record.

MAY DEACON,
62 St. James' Road,
Tunbridge Wells,
Kent, England.

December, 1927.

(May Deacon was a niece of Catherine Anne Deacon who published "R E C O R D S OF THE Family of Deacon OF KETTERING AND LONDON. WITH NOTICES OF ALLIED FAMILIES." in 1899.

May's grandmother was Virginia Grace Scripps, wife of Samuel Deacon.
