Edition Notes

"List of the works of Sir Robert Sibbald": p. 100-101.
The memoirs are transcribed from the certified copy of the original manuscript formerly in the possession of James Boswell, now in the National library of Scotland.
The "refutation" was occasioned by C.L. Stainer's "Jonson and Drummond, their conversations: a few remarks on an eighteenth-century forgery".
