This is the autobiography of one of the most prominent American politicians of the 20th Century. Alben Barkely, Democrat of Kentucky, was (among several offices) majority leader of the U.S. Senate during a part of the tenure of President Franklin Roosevelt. In 1948, President Harry Truman chose Barkley as his running mate. Barkley became a popular national figure known everywhere as The Veep. Vice President Barkley was famed as a raconteur. His stories and anecdotes were widely repeated. Hence the title of his reminiscence/autobiography: "That Reminds Me…"
