Commentaries proceeding by typographically emphasized lemmas, without full text.
The first work (leaves 1-26a) discusses laws 1-41 of title 1 (De re iudicata) of book 49 of Digesta; the second (leaves 26b-122b), captioned "Angelus de Aretio ad titulum Dig. De appellationibus" covers, in reality, the first 13 titles of book 49 (all concerned with appeals).
A presumably incorrect statement on leaf 122b dates completion of the second work to 2 Sept. 1343 !
Device used by the Somasco family on t.p.: Centaur with bow and snake, with motto: Viribus iungenda sapientia (in a rich frame; variant not reproduced in Zappella).
Signatures: a⁸ b⁶ A-C⁸ D⁴ E-O⁸ P¹⁰. Register lists sig. D as a quaternio and foliation omits nos. 29-32 but without text loss.
