Edition Notes
A satire in verse against English radicalism, in reply to William Hone's The political house that Jack built.
The wood-engravings, unsigned, include a title vignette. The illustration on p. [4], "The palace of John Bull", occurs also in Saint Caroline's pilgrimage to St. Paul's (1820), where the illustrations are ascribed on title-page to "Cruikshank"; neither appearance is recorded by Cohn.
