Edition Notes

There are two issues with the 1831 London imprint of Sherwood & Co. One issue has the printer's imprint of J. Bradley, an added dedication leaf to the Marchioness of Londonderry, and [3] p. of music following p. 100. The other issue has the printer's imprint of W. The [7] p. of plates describe two systems of dance notation, using the "Gavotte de Vestris" with music, and other pieces, as examples.

Plates 23-24 are by J. Halpin after designs by H.C. Macguire and C. Carloni.
