Ex libris James Berry.

On front pastedown, 18th century booplate of Lewis Buck, Exeter Coll. On an inner front flyleaf, "Thomas Stucley"; "Thomas" crossed out and "Lewis [Stucley] de Medio Templo, London" added. Possibly the Lewis Stucley admitted to Middle Temple 5 Feb. 1700/1701. On verso of title page, bookplate of Edward Chilton of Middle[?] Temple (partially torn); probably the Edward Chilton admitted to Middle Temple 13 April 1694. Marginal annotations in Stucley's hand, edges lost due to close cropping.

At head of front flyleaf, signature of "James Berry Esq. ... Dublin" in an 18th century hand. With a few 17th century marginal annotations. Copy incomplete; lacking Littleton portrait.

At head of preface ([par.]3): "R. Scott, 1755." With a few contemporary marginal annotations and fists.

Bound in following the preface and portrait of Littleton, is a collection of material relating to the Littleton family of Cornwall: 19th century transcriptions and newspaper clippings; a few original documents dating to 1707, etc. Probably compiled by Thomas Littleton (1824-1878). Cataloged separately; cf. HOLLIS no. 9925817.

Quarter bound in worn 18th century calf and marbled paper covered boards; remains of gilt spine ornaments; all edges stained red.
