The plates are mounted photographs (salted paper prints from waxed paper negatives) of art work by Blackburn, captioned in the prints and signed: JB. The photographs probably were prepared with the assistance of Blackburn's husband, Hugh.
Text in double columns.
There is another issue with added imprints of Hamilton, Adams, and Co. and Ackermann and Co., London in place of the the Dix, Edwards, and Co. imprint.
