Authorship of the Speculum sapientiae uncertain. Attributed in MSS. and early printed books to a Cyrillus episcopus, variously identified with Saint Cyrillus, Bp. of Jerusalem, Saint Cyrillus of Thessalonica or Cyrillus de Quidenon. Cf. p. 285-290 and Gesamtkat. d. Wiegendr., v. 7, col. 232.
The Dialogus creaturarum sive contemptus sublimitatis, is in the Paris MS. no. 8512, ascribed to a Nicolaus, Pergaminus (changed by Grässe to Pergamenus), in der Codex cremonensis LII. 6.4 to Magnus de Magneriis [Magninus Mediolanenis, Mayno de M̓ayneri] Cf. Pio Rajna, Del "Dialogus creaturarum/ in Giorn, stor. della letterat. ital., v. 3 4, 10, 11.
