The sixteenth book of the Elements was added by "Flussas", i.e. François de Foix, comte de Candale.

Title page in red and black; title vignette.

Rare Book copy 2: Contemporary mottled calf binding, rebacked, spine laid down; raised bands with floral gilt panels, original red morocco label; covers with rectangular tooling in center, corners with embossed floral, text block with red ink.

Rare Book copy 2: Includes 41 tipped-in pen and ink drawings with folding parts; one in book XII, the rest in book XI; similar to those prepared for Euclid's Elements by John Lodge Cowley, ca. 1776.

Rare Book copy 2: From the library of William Charles de Meuron, 7th Earl Fitwilliam, with his bookplate.

Rare Book copy 2: From the library of Thomas Watson-Wentworth, 1st Marquess of Rockingham, with his autograph; note in his hand "Ex dono Ricardis Old..." may mean gift from Richard or from Matteo Ricci, who assisted Clavius in preparing his Euclid's Elements from 1603 to 1607, the date of this work.
