The text of Pringle's transmitting letter (top of p. [1]) reads as follows: "Sir: I am desired by the Committee of the London Anti-Slavery Society to communicate to you the annexed summary of the considerations which have determined them to meet and renew their application to Parliament on the great objects of their association."

Title from the start of the first sentence of this form letter from the London Anti-slavery Society, as communicated by its Secretary, T. Pringle.
