This second book in the six-book series set primarily in Northern Italy, but with scenes in New Jersey, presents the relationships between three main characters: Angelina, a native of Rimini, Italy in her mid-thirties, unexpectedly expecting and with an unexpected engagement; her multi-talented over-protective godmother Valentina, now filling the role of Angelina's de facto mother as they prepare for the wedding; and, Benjamin, a native of New Jersey in his mid-thirties, divorced, soon to be married and a father. The characters interact with historically accurate events and locations, and the story reflects the language, culture, traditions, and history of Northern Italy.
