Roberto Burle Marx, falecido em 4 de junho de 1994, foi um dos maiores paisagistas desse século e o maior do Brasil em todos os tempos. "Roberto Burle Marx, who died on June 4, 1994, was one of the greatest landscape painters of this century and the largest in Brazil at all times. This book deals with plants and collected or used by it in its nearly 1000 projects landscaping throughout his career of more than 70 years. For over 50 years he cultivated plants with ornamental features brought from all over the world and especially in tropical Brazil. This book has 960 species of tropical plants for use in landscape color photographs, collected and used by Roberto Burle Marx at over landscaping projects in Brazil and abroad."
