Breathing in Dao is a narrative poem in the tercet stanza. It has two parts: 

I. Awakening by a brook is a simple fable in which a man converses with the inner voice of a brook.  It was inspired by the ancient Chinese book of wisdom, "Dae De Jing" attributed to Laozi. 
II. Fables of a dreaming butterfly is a fable in which a dreaming butterfly converses with a rose about "Dao". It was inspired by the Inner Chapters of "Zhuangzi" attributed to Zhuang Cho.
