Edition Notes

"Errors of the Amanuensis: or the Calumny of the Secretary is a story about an impertinent secretary using simple text and binary code. Each page includes a 'big word' that is slightly familiar but which most of us could not exactly define. That word, in caps, is illustrated by its translation into binary code. A take off of the 'For Dummies' series of books is tucked into the back cover decoding the message."--Women's Studio website, http://www.wsworkshop.org/ viewed October 13, 2010.

"A piece of KaKeART".

Book explores the relationship between letterpress printing and binary code.

Issued in an edition of 30 copies.

The artists' book "Transatlantic Balderdash" was created in 2010 by the artists as an accompaniment to "Errors of the amanuensis."

The book was letterpress printed in Germany during an artist's residency at the Hessischisse Landes Museum für Industrie und Kultur.

A small manual is placed in a pocket located on the inside back cover.

LC copy is number 11 of 30, signed by the authors.
