Washington Theater. Lessee, Mr. S.W. Glenn, acting manger: Mr. J.T. Raymond, stage manager, Mr. Humphrey Bland ... Superb bill! Farewell benefit and positively last night but one of Mr. Sothern who will appear in his celebrated character of Maxime, in his own play, entitled "The Romance of a Poor Young Man." Friday evening, Feb. 8, 1861 will be presented, for the first time this season, the new and thrilling play, dramatised by Mr. Sothern for Octave Feuillet's beautiful story of "Le Romance d'un Jeune Homme Pauvre" and which was lately produced at Wallack's Theater, New York, with the most brilliant success, under the title of "The Romance of a Poor Young Man" produced at a great expense, with new scenery, music, properties and effects, and an unexceptionable cast of characters! ...
