Adventures of an archaeologist. Memoirs of a museum curator,

Being a curator of the Cyprus Collections in Stockholm has been both an adventure and a passion. This has implied meetings with artists, authors, filmmakers, ministers and politicians, and even archaeologists from all over the world. The work also included some problems, but these were never caused by the collections. Archaeological finds or pieces of art are always a source of joy and pride for a curator.
Moreover, the author presents the experiences of producing large exhibitions, working in storerooms, etc. Hence, the first part of the book can well be used as a handbook for museum curators.
The final chapter describes how a lost curator tries to find new ways after being forced to leave her job. Instead, more books, politics, travelling and other adventures await. The author fails to create a new life in Cyprus, ends up in dangerous relations and delves into the political conflicts of the island. The Cyprus problem is given a lot of space and gets an extra dimension through meetings with people who have struggled to achieve a peaceful and united island.
