Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

Mrs. Mary Merrick Brooks has heard from Mr. (Charles Lenox) Remond that the Hutchinsons will not sing at the New England Convention. And feeling certain that "there are many put out" who would attend if these singers were advertised to be there, she pleads with Maria Weston Chapman for special efforts to secure their presence. Mary M. Brooks was "made glad by the report of the national society."
