Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

Wendell Phillips encloses an obituary on James Alvord written for the Liberty Bell. If Maria Weston Chapman decides to print it, she is requested to send it, prior to publication, to Anna Alvord with an explanatory note; a draft of the explanatory note is included. Maria Weston Chapman is given information about articles for the anti-slavery fair sent by British friends and suggestions for thanking them.
