Holograph, signed with initials.
Deborah Weston discusses her plans for returning to Weymouth. She regrets the death of Dr. Charles T. C. Follen. Deborah tells the story of two men named Nathan Johnson and Gibson. Apparently Gibson was a slaveholder when he died. Johnson either inherited the slaves or was related to Gibson, with the result that the colored people of New Bedford were very hostile to him. Deborah heard from John F. Emerson that Rev. Charles Fitch had repented and the left the New Organization.
