The book discusses the theme of the History of Nutrition and Dietetics in Ancient Greece and Rome, in the ambit of the study of the History of Greek and Roman Medicine, and is structured as an essay that follows the development of the Greek and Roman Medicine from the formation of the first 'nucleus' of the "Corpus Hippocraticum" to the works of Galen of Pergamon, marking the close interconnection and interdependence between Greek and Roman Medicine.
