P. [ii] contains an advertisement for the second edition of John Howie's "Scots Biography". The last page contains "Proposals for printing by subscription, in one large octavo volume, an elegant edition of three hundred and fifty-two letters by the eminently pious Mr. Samuel Rutherfoord", dated Glasgow, July 3d, 1782.

Concerning the appointment of a new minister. After the former minister had died in 1779, William Boyd was presented by commissioners of the Earl of Glasgow, but was strongly opposed by the parish. The case was brought before the Assemblies in 1781-1782.
