„The traditional opposition of warm and cold colours in painting with which the painter used to work, contributed to the idea that the “juncture of the colour difference of a “form couple” shall generate an “explosion“.“

The first monograph dedicated to the works of Valery Yurlov was published in 2004. This book provides a deep insight into the biography and the repertory of the artist.
Valery Yurlov ranks among one of the most essential Russian conceptualists of the second half of the 20th century.
He observed various forms that he found in nature and composed his own palette of geometric forms (triangle, circle, drop). This is how his theory of the «para-form» emerged, which he implemented in his paintings, scultpures and installations.
Attention in this edition is drawn to explanations of Valery Yurlov’s theory, namely to his «para-form»- related scriptures and to an analysis of his works by Dmitry Sarabyanov.
