Fish Stories is one of the small and rare, self-published, "Birch Bark Books" written by Henry Abbott. The book is a collection of stories about strange events the author, his partner Bige, and others witnessed in the wilds of the Adirondacks in New York state. The subjects include an osprey's encounter with an oversized fish, a coon taking advantage of a fisherman's catch, an otter taking more than he needed, a pickerel who swallowed his grandson, a fishing fox, a heart-broken Indian maiden, and a mysterious flying fish.
