Originally published in 1848, this 1903 edition updated by John Cooke features 185 drawings and photographs of ancient Irish monuments and buildings, including new additions not featured in previous editions. Wakeman's work documented many monuments that might have been overlooked or destroyed, and paved the way for further archaeological study.
