Edition Notes
"In the National Library of Ireland, Dublin, is a document without heading or signature but obviously a plan for a Dutch invasion of Scotland. It is unmistakably in the hand of Theobald Wolfe Tone, the Irish patriot, but from Tone's own journal it is evident that the author was Daendels, the Dutch general, who composed it at either the Texel or the Hague between 9 and 21 August 1797."--p.
