RBSC copy: A contemporary French (?) binding, sewn on three stations, two of which form raised bands. Yellow silk endbands finished with a bead. Blue textblock edges.Full bound dark red goatskin. Covers finished in Maioli style: within a 4-line panel, the second finished with a decorative roll, the third painted green, a design of interlaced ribbons and scrolls, some painted black, and outlined in gold; the whole powdered with dots. On upper cover a representation of St. Mark in centre; on lower cover an heraldic device. Spine finished with double- and single-line fillets forming one long and two short compartments, gold-tooled with gouge work, and powdered with dots. Caps and corners of board edges finished with decorative roll. Traces of 2 pairs of ties.
