MASS copy: Bound in blue-green morocco-grain cloth blocked in gold and blind in the same design as McLean D 0379, McLean D 0387 and McLean D 1115. Covers blocked in blind with a decorative border design that includes the words "Fables", "Toys", "The Home Treasury", "Ballads", "Tales" and "Joseph Cundall". Border design is after a design by Holbein for a binding in silver. Cf. McLean, Ruari. Victorian book design and colour printing, p. 61. Design blocked in blind was also used on the covers of McLean D 1018 and McLean D (W). With presentation inscription dated 1846.
