Captions in Italian and English
Victoria University Library copy 1 has bookplate of Mary. Eliz. Moses; binder's spine title is Flaxman's compositions from Dante.
Victoria University Library copy 2 is bound in original boards with paper label pasted on front cover; also has torn printed catalogue description of the 1793 ed. pasted on front cover; has armorial bookplate of "The Rev. W.M. Gunn, B.D. Smalleburgh, Norfolk; on back fly-leaf is a pencil note claiming that this copy was a gift from Flaxman to the Rev. W. Gunn; copy 2 has binder's spine title: Compositions from the Hell, Purgatory & Paradise of Dante Alighieri.
Victoria University Library copy 2's paper has watermark date 1803 on 48 plates and LEPARD 1803 on plates 4, 7, 14 of the first group; copy 2 is trimmed to 25 x 35 cm.
