'Dedication' 'To John Webb, Esq.', signed: 'Philalethes Easter-Munday, 1732' [i.e. Edmund Curll], one of the many who used this pseudonym; NUC quotes Curll as the 'supposed author' of this work; it does not appear in the DNB's list of publications 'to which his name can be fixed with some degree of certainty'; but, in the DNB entry for Sir Thomas Pengelly, the 'Life' by 'Philalethes' (Edmund Curll), 1733 8vo.'is listed.
