Some plates include areas printed in colour with metal. All plates with imprint: "Leighton, Brothers.".

MASS copy 1: Bound in purple sand-grain cloth blocked in gold and blind. With an elaborate decorative pattern and the title blocked in gold on the front cover over paper onlays coloured blue, red, brown and green. Boards with bevelled edges; a.e.g. Spine with imprint: "Routledge". With ownership inscription dated 1868: "Gertrude Julia Reid". An earlier issue of McLean O 476.

MASS copy 2: Bound in purple sand-grain cloth blocked in gold and blind in the same design and with the same paper onlays as copy 1. Boards with bevelled edges; a.e.g. Spine with imprint: "Routledge". With bookplate: "Francis Gray Smart".
