"Entered according to Act of Congress, in the years 1865 and 1867, by John G. Whittier, in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the District of Massachusetts."--T.p. verso.

"In the present edition of '"Snow-Bound," the illustrations are drawn by Mr. Harry Fenn, from sketches made by him during a visit to the scene of the poem. The engraving has been done by Mr. A. V. S. Anthony, under whose supervision the book has been prepared, and Mr. W. J. Linton. The vignette Portrait was drawn upon the wood by Mr. W. J. Hennessy, and engraved by Mr. John Andrew ... "--p. [5].

MASS copy: Bound in blue sand-grain cloth blocked in gold and blind. With illustration replicated from the text blocked in gold on the upper cover and in blind on the lower cover. Boards with bevelled edges; a.e.g. With bookseller's label: "G. Short Bookseller Bath. 24 Milsom Street".
