"Party Day" was commissioned by the National Arts Centre to inaugurate the Studio Theatre and was written, produced and directed by Jack Winter for the official opening of the N.A.C. in Ottawa, 4-7 June 1969. The cast included Heath Lamberts, Jan Rubes, Joseph Shaw, and Francoise Vallee. The designer was Nancy Jowsey, the technical director Marten Lewis, the musical director and performer John Mills Cockle.
