Portions of several chapters written by various authors.
First edition was published in 1874 as a brief addendum ... on 'Medical police' to Husband's 'Text-book of forensic medicine.' In the seventh edition the book was published as Buchanan and Hope's Text-book of forensic medicine and public health. In the eighth edition ... 1915, these two subjects received separate treatment and 'Public health' was produced separately by Professor E.W. Hope and one of the present authors.
