In the Country of Tattooed Men the nights feel hollow and are full of the sounds of the jungle: danger is everywhere, Tattoos hide all from the prying eyes of the world. On Murderer’s Walk the cards are dealt for the ultimate game. There can only be one loser: pray you do not hold the ace of spades. And from York to London, Northampton to Southend, the boys are surfing Spanish style. It’s exciting and exhilarating and potentially fatal…
Garry Kilworth’s powerful and striking anthology from the past, present and future is now presented in this expanded collection, featuring fourteen additional stories.
Winner of the British Science Fiction Award, and the World Fantasy Award, many of Garry Kilworth’s books have seen publication across the globe and in over seventeen different languages.

Editor’s Note:
In order to make this release a little different, I asked Garry if he had a couple of other stories he might like to add to it, “Probably,” he said, “I’ll have a look.” That would be the precise point at which the project snowballed. The original plan — a reprint with a couple of extra tales thrown in — has become a bumper volume of some of Garry’s favourite stories. There are now another fourteen included — two previously unpublished anywhere — nearly doubling the original book’s length.
So, hope you love them all as much as I do and if you’ve just bought the collection for the second time then… sorry, but blame Garry for writing such damn fine stories!
